The first map represents a historical archeological case study that aimed to determine the most likely historic Native American trade routes.

The two maps seen here both involved a significant amount of analysis with raster datasets. Tools such as aggregate, raster calculator, and focal statistics were used in the first map to determine the least difficult, or least costly, route from the town of Winthrop to a number of coastal cities.

Additionally, the second map features a custom color ramp with a swiss-hillshade style symbology. These features aim to make the elevation in the map pop. It also features slope and aspect inset maps.
